A Boy Called Christmas

The work is an adaptation of Matt Haig's book of the same name and follows an ordinary young man named Nikolas. He sets out on an extraordinary adventure through the northern snow in search of his father, who has set out on a mission to discover Elfhelm, the mythological village of the elves. Taking with him a stubborn reindeer named Blitzen and a pet mouse, Nikolas soon finds his destiny in this magical, comical and tender story that proves nothing is impossible.

“Have you ever wondered what Santa Claus was like as a boy?” describes the author of the film's story, Matt Haig, on his personal blog about the literary work he released in 2015. “A Boy Called Christmas is a tale of adventure, snow, kidnapping, elves, more snow and a boy named Nikolas, who is not afraid to believe in magic," reports the writer.

A very interesting detail in A Boy Called Christmas, however, is the design of the entire project. The two-time Academy Award nominee Ruth Myers is responsible for the costumes of all the characters, having worked on the sets of films such as The Addams Family, The Golden Compass and Mortdecai among 90 other projects.
